Inbound international deliveries in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia may be delayed due to recent COVID-19 disruption at Australia Post’s Melbourne Gateway facility. Australia Post are still unable to provide daily collections in Sydney as their Chullora parcel facility continues to be gridlocked, again parcel volume, quarantine and restrictions within the workforce accounting for the majority of the issues. All carriers are still citing unprecedented volume through their networks and continue to work weekends and additional hours to stay on top of deliveries. Currently estimated delay of up to 9 days, we will keep you updated.

Untracked International eCommerce (Goods) services via The Delivery Group worldwide postal partners

Please note we may experience delays with linehaul into the EU, currently trucks are experiencing delays in both directions.

The situation is mainly due recent incident in the tunnel and scarce capacity at Dover.

Easter holidaymakers and lorry drivers travelling to mainland Europe are facing delays since Friday on the cross-channel route after a Eurotunnel Le Shuttle train broke down in the tunnel.

The breakdown came as Eurotunnel said it was experiencing more traffic than it had since 2019, at the start of the first school holidays since UK Covid travel rules were scrapped.

Cross-Channel passengers and freight have also been switching to Eurotunnel because several ferries have been out of service since the P&O ferry crisis.

Eurotunnel detected a safety problem on a freight-only train heading to Calais, which had to be repaired in the tunnel before being taken back to Folkestone, blocking one of the two tunnels.
