COVID-19 International Delivery Update

Go back 29 Sep 2021

Please find below our latest update regarding the impact of the Coronavirus on our global transport & delivery networks.

Our aim is to update you regularly regarding postal flows out of the UK. We are closely monitoring the situation and can reassure you that we are continuously working with partners to secure alternative routes where necessary, to limit the impact on your business during this testing time.

Whilst delays continue almost everywhere in the world due to the ongoing disruption caused by the Coronavirus, our agile routing means we can keep your goods moving to most destinations.

Please be aware all countries which have recently resumed services will experience delays.

TDG have been distributing throughout this period with no cancellation of service, we are pleased to confirm that these issues are now largely resolved, mail and tracked parcels continue to move, we are however advising clients to allow up to 5-7 additional working days for their parcels to arrive in the EU, subject to further local COVID lockdowns and delays.

International Courier Service

Germany Suspension via DHL Express

With effect from Monday 25 January, Air Express and Road Express services with DHL to Germany will be unavailable to use for the next few weeks. There is a significant bottleneck of consignments in both DHL Germany and within German customs due to Brexit and the suspension has been placed to allow them to clear the backlog and resume normal service.

TDG can send your items into Germany via our ETrak service, this is available for parcels up to 30kgs (maximum 100cm per single side, maximum combined dimensions of 140cm in total), tracked to the point of delivery. Delivery aim is estimated at 5-6 working days, however given the current position in Germany and with COVID-19 lockdown restrictions please be aware items may take longer.

If you have any items to ship to Germany, please contact our Client Services Team and we will assist you in booking these on the ETrak service or arranging an alternative Express courier service if you require this.

We will update you as soon as the DHL service to Germany is resumed.

For full details of temporary service adjustments please visit the website:
