Why choose The Delivery Group to ship from the UK?

Our shipping service offers customers a range of benefits, many of which simply cannot be found when you’re considering other firms. These include:

Providing you with an express delivery and specific shipping time

We understand that you will most likely be looking for the service that can provide you with the fastest shipping time, while never compromising on security. Whether you have a customer who is expecting a shipment of clothes within the week, or even if you need to ensure that an important document is handed over as quickly and safely as possible, we will make sure that this is done for you. An express delivery from us can ensure that your package reaches its destination within 3-4 working days. Meanwhile, a slow shipping time may see it arrive up to 8 working days after collection.

If you need a faster shipping time to ensure that your shipped goods arrive in Australia by a certain date, we can also provide you with time-specific collection and delivery options. For example, if you need a package picked up in Birmingham at a specific time, we can make sure it’s delivered to its recipient in Perth at a date which suits you best. All we will need from you is the details for the recipient’s address, as well as delivery and transit times. Everything else will be handled by us.

Assigning you an account manager

We will provide you with your very own account manager when you sign on with us, so you’ll always have a team member to talk to if you ever need advice or support. Each is an expert and can help you with every aspect of your delivery, whether you need to change a delivery date or rescind an order. They’ll leave you to carry out the important task of running your business, while they oversee everything from billing, to customs and documentation.

Your account manager will also be able to provide a quote on the cheapest rates for delivering your goods, as well as discussing the process with you and helping you to navigate peak times such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Helping you track your packages with our app

When you’re shipping to Australia from the UK, it’s only understandable that you’ll worry about the goods arriving until they reach their destination safely, on the date that you have specified and in the condition expected. This may be made worse by a slow shipping time, which keeps you and your recipient waiting longer.

Being able to monitor your items as they travel is vital in the modern age, and the ability to do this can often determine the success rate of a shipping company. This is why we have created a free, downloadable app for our customers to use whenever they’re sending goods such as clothes, books, food or any other items to Australia.

To use the app, simply type in your tracking number and it will update you with your items’ whereabouts. If you’d prefer to speak with a member of staff about their location, you can also contact our London office.

You’ll find our app available on Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.

Streamlining deliveries for your eCommerce business

To help you save as much money as possible for your business, we have adapted our services to be as efficient as possible. This will involve working closely with you to ensure all packaged goods, from food and books to clothes or handmade items, will be securely wrapped and packed before delivery. These will then be shipped to Australia.

No matter whether you will only need items shipped there infrequently, or require courier services to send goods at a regular shipping time every month or more, we will be able to help you find the cheap shipping solution you need. To help this, we are proud to offer a price-competitive service. So, if you find a cheap quote online from another firm, we will be able to tell you if this is the cheapest and match it with our service. How much will it cost to ship to Australia?

At The Delivery Group, we consistently aim to offer our customers the cheapest rates whenever they are shipping to Australia from the UK. However, as these delivery quotes are bespoke, we cannot offer a fully set list of prices to help you pinpoint the cost of your own goods. Instead, we will need to know the size, weight and volume of the packages before we can help you find the price which suits your budget.

Generally, the cheapest price options for shipping packages to Australia will begin at under £10 (sometimes as low as £7.30) and may increase up to £60 or more. This will depend on factors such as size, weight, volume and the courier service you are using.

Start shipping to Australia from the UK today

We aim to make the international shipping process as easy as possible, no matter where you are in the UK and no matter where you need your goods to go. We will be able to send your items safely and swiftly to any part of Australia. All we will need from you is the recipient’s address, your budget and any time or date you would like the package to be delivered by.

Addressing a delivery to Australia

To avoid delays or complications with delivery, it’s important that you format items correctly when you’re shipping to Australia from the UK. If you are familiar with sending packages to the USA, you’ll notice that Australian addresses have a similar format. This includes a state abbreviation and postal code following the town or city name.

The format for an Australian address is as follows:

The name of the recipient
The house number and street name
The town or city, state abbreviation and postal code
The country

Put into practice, this would be written as:

Mr R. Thomas
38 Dinwoodie Ave
Adelaide SA 5039
AUSTRALIA

If the person you are sending items to lives in an apartment block, the apartment number will precede the building number in the address formatting. Written down, it should appear as follows:

Mr M. Baker
5/12 Miramar Ave
Sydney NSW 2039
AUSTRALIA

If you have a floor number, this can also be written alongside the block number and street name, and would appear as this:

Mr M. Baker
Suite 5
Floor 3 12 Miramar Avenue
Sydney NSW 2039
AUSTRALIA

Will I need to deal with Australian customs?

Under ordinary circumstances, you would have to take care of customs declarations in Australia yourself. However, when you choose to partner with us you’ll be able to take full advantage of our customer services, which means that we’ll take care of this step for you.

Are there any prohibited or restricted items I cannot send to Australia?

To protect their wildlife, Australia famously has strict rules about what can and cannot be brought into the country. As such, the list of prohibited items and restrictions is lengthy and detailed. We have provided a summary of just some of the items that are prohibited:

  • Live animals
  • Soil of any quantity
  • Plants and plant matter
  • Articles of leather, including saddlery
  • Cardboard boxes which have previously been used to carry fruit, vegetables or meat that could contain harmful organisms

If you are sending food, it is often helpful for the customs clearance process if it is still in the original manufacturer’s packaging, if this is possible.
