Why choose The Delivery Group to make international deliveries?

When you partner with us to carry out shipping to India from the UK, you’ll gain a number of unique benefits that you won’t find from other courier services:

Time-specific express deliveries

You’ll want to find a courier service that can offer you safe, secure shipping to India, while ensuring that the items arrive exactly when they’re supposed to. This keeps you on time to meet any deadlines you have with clients or customers, and gives you reassurance that important documents are handed over to their intended recipient. We can offer you both with our shipping services, and with our express delivery option, your packages could be shipped door-to-door within 2-3 working days.

We’re also happy to offer time-specific collection and delivery services, no matter what type of goods you are sending out. So, if you need a small series of parcels collected in Birmingham right away, we will ensure that they arrive at the address given in Maduri when you need them there. All you’ll have to do is provide us with the correct details, including the recipient’s address, the delivery and transit times and speed. We’ll handle everything from there.

Personal account managers

We wish to work as closely with you as we can throughout the shipping process. To help make this happen, we will assign you your very own personal account manager. These expert team members will oversee every part of your operations, from billing and duty-free services to sorting out customs and documentation. They’ll be the person you speak with if you have any questions, wish to change a delivery date, or need to cancel an order.

Our account managers are also able to help you navigate through the busiest shipping days of the year, including Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Our tracking app

There is often a worry involved when sending out packages to international destinations, which isn’t lifted until you know that the goods have arrived safely. Being able to track your items helps to ease this feeling, and also gives you an idea of how successful your chosen courier firm has been. This is why we’ve created a free, downloadable app for our customers to use when they need to keep track of their parcels.

Every item we send off on your behalf will be given a tracking number. Simply put this number into the app and you’ll receive an update on the location of your shipment. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to speak to a member of staff, you can also contact our head office in London and they’ll be able to offer you the same information.

Streamlined services for eCommerce

Our international shipping services are ideal for those looking to save on costs to help their eCommerce businesses grow. We’ll provide you with the highest quality options for shipping goods internationally, while quoting a cheap fee for each in return. We’ll also ensure that all parcels, packages and documents are wrapped up safely and securely before being sent out for delivery. This is how our services will run, whether you’re only looking to send out a few items sporadically, or need regular, duty free courier deliveries to international locations.

We are also proud to be a price-competitive firm, so if you find any charges online that claim to be the best available, or if you’re given a cheap quote from elsewhere, we are more than certain that we can match it. There will never be any compromise on levels of service, either. To learn more about this, please see our page on eCommerce.

Addressing packages you’re shipping to India from the UK

When addressing a package, parcel or series of documents that you’re sending to India, it’s important to remember that the formatting differs, compared to here in the UK. We have noted these differences down for your convenience:

  • The Post town must be noted in block letters, and should also be underlined
  • The PIN-Code of the Post town should be noted below
  • You should note the District in cases where there is more than one Post town bearing the same name and if the PIN is not noted
  • If the name of the District is the same as that of the Post town, the name of the State should be noted
  • Indications of route, such as “via”, should not be given
  • It’s also highly recommended that the sender’s address is given in the lower left-hand corner on the address side, or on the reverse of the article if this isn’t possible
  • Landline and mobile telephone numbers of the addressee should be included on the item to help assist in delivery

Formatting Indian addresses also differs depending on whether you’re sending your items to an urban or rural area. An urban address will normally be written as follows:

The name of the recipient

The recipient’s occupation, if any

The house number or name and then the street name

The post box number, if any

The name of the locality, or Mohall

The name of the Post Town and PIN-Code

The name of the District and State PIN-Code

The country

In a rural area, the formatting will normally be as follows:

The name of the recipient

The recipient’s father’s or husband’s name

The recipient’s profession, if any

The house number and street name, if any

The name of the village and Firka, Hobli, etc.

The name of the Post Office of delivery and the PIN-Code

The name of the Taluk or Tehsil. This is not necessary if the correct PIN is written

The name of the District and State. This is not necessary if the correct PIN is written

The country

In practice (we have used an urban address format), this would be written out as:

T. Singh

Bank manager

5 Ramchandra Ln

Malad

Adarsh Nagar

Mumbai-400064

INDIA
